Ebay Morons Galore!

Stupid Email of the Day

This member has a question for you.

Dear (me),

Hi, i told you 15 days ago that i wasn’t going to pay the article because my son had bid for it without permission, and i wanted to leave you a positive feedback and i hope you do the same.

Thank you.

– (Idiot from Spain)

This was in response to me filing a Non-Paying Bidder dispute for this jersey. She immediately emailed after the auction ended saying she was refusing to pay because her son bid, not her.

Yes, I always leave positive feedbacks for deadbeats. I love losing money and time because people can’t control their kids. I negged her and I think it was the last one I left before the new feedback rules went into effect.

  1. I would like to share a few of my favorite emails recieved as a seller, you may get a kick out of them.

I see you have a buy it now price of 39.99, I’ll give you 29.99 we can do this now. (Please note item had already been bid on and was at 34.00).

I bid on your item, but have decided to use the buy it now option, but you took it away, can you put it back? (After item auction had gone above BIN price and they were no longer winning item.)

Your auction title says large, but picture shows a medium, is this a medium or large? (In 36 pt font under picture is disclaimer stating “Please note that the photo(s) above may be of a different size, but the jersey you will be bidding on and will receive if you are the high bidder) will be the one jersey in the auction title”.

The best and only buyer I have ever left negative feedback for out of 3400 plus auctions:

I won the Romo jersey from you, but I notice you have another listed that is cheaper, I want that one instead. To which I responded that the auction is binding and that he needed to pay for the first one, which he proceeded to say he would not. THEN he proceeds to use the BIN on the second. Needless to say he failed to pay for EITHER. Gotta love ebay’s new policies, people like that will continue to go around making it difficult for all sellers.

  2. Wow, that Romo story is incredible. Somehow, that situation has never happened to me. Thanks for sharing!
